Geotechnical Engineering

Geotechnical engineering is the foundation of any well-designed project. DURIN Engineering conducts site reconnaissance surveys, exploration, and testing of soils, rocks, and underground water. These investigations and tests provide us with an understanding of the underlying strength of in-situ materials on a site. Using this information, we design strengthening techniques, retaining structures, and specify the bearing capacity of the unique materials studied at the site. During the construction process, we oversee and inspect the constructed design.

DURIN Engineering personnel have provided exploration, design, consulting, testing, and monitoring for sites throughout 19 states in the US. Our personnel have experience from previous projects ranging from:

Cell Phone Towers

Gas Stations

Retail Facilities

Commercial Developments

Water Treatment Plants

Large Residential Structures

Natural Gas Projects

Grocery Stores

Greenways

Bridges

Parks

Aqueducts

Subdivisions

Multi-Story Office Structures

Parking Garages

Highway Facilities

Retaining Wall Design and Remediation

DURIN Engineering focuses on foundation evaluations, settlement analysis, and seismic testing using various methods of testing and sampling. DURIN Engineering maintains its own laboratory for testing materials collected and works with several drilling companies across the US to collect the materials from project sites.
